Our Beliefs

We consider these to be core, foundational beliefs…

  • We believe the Holy Bible, containing 66 books, as the inspired Word of God, without any error in it’s original form, the all-sufficient authority in matters of faith doctrine, and Christian living.
  • We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
  • We believe in the virgin birth of Jesus Christ, and that He is true God and human. He died on the cross for our sins. He rose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven where He sits at the rights hand of the Father and is now our High Priest and Advocate.
  • We believe that man and woman were created in the image of God but fell into sin and therefore lost. But through the atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross, humankind is once again into fellowship with God.
  • We believe that eternal salvation is the free gift of God, and not through human effort, and is possessed by any and all who have faith in and receive Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Saviour.
  • We believe in the indwelling and working of the Holy Spirit in the lives of the believers.
  • We believe in a regenerated church membership: that is, persons old enough to understand their need for Jesus Christ and, on their own free will, accept Him as their personal Saviour and Lord.
  • We believe that Baptism by immersion and the Lord’s Supper is a remembrance act of His suffering and death on the cross and the proclamation of the establishment of the new covenant. These are ordinances to be observed by the church in it’s present age. They are, however, not to be regarded as means for salvation.
  • We believe in the personal, bodily, imminent, and glorious return (the Second Coming) of the Lord Jesus Christ.
  • We believe in the bodily resurrection of the dead, and the everlasting blessedness of the saved in Heaven, and the everlasting punishment and separation from God of the unsaved in Hell.
